Cover letter

I am a self-motivated, organized and dedicated nonprofit professional with a strong passion for community service and organizational development. I am currently seeking a position wherein my unique skill set, experience and resources will make a significant impact upon the American Muslim community. I have a strong background in strategic development, communications, event coordination, digital & print media / graphic design, editing, program development, and volunteer management and have a demonstrated successful track record working in a high-pressure environment through disaster response services.

I am deeply interested in Islamic education and the development of the American Muslim community, as well as the community abroad. I am seeking a position in the non-profit sector that allows me to use my experience, expertise and excitement in the field to affect change. But change requires collective effort, dedication and infrastructure – a formula, I believe, can only be realized through improving our charitable organizations. It is my dream to leave a legacy that will benefit society for generations to come and I feel this legacy can only be achieved through charitable efforts, anchored by proper intention, practical expertise and effective organization.
